The Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico is one of Latin America's most threatened by the Global Warming phenomenon. It is also one of the most vulnerable places to climate change. The ocean levels are rising which puts the Carribean beaches in the area at danger. The rising sea levels also put the miles of "man grooves" at risk. Man grooves protect the coast from having very harsh hurricanes. This causes more harsh storms than usual which leaves dead trees laying around. The dead trees put the area at risk for fires. Mexico's most popular tourist attraction, the summit in Cancun, is seeking efforts ,starting in 2012, for a climate treat to help the climate and enviorment of Mexico. Mexico is also holding a United Nations climate conference on Monday. Hopefully the global warming, and climate issues will start to be helped!
