All 33 Miners in Chile Saved!

Finally, after over two months all 33 Chilean miners, which were trapped in a mine, are rescued to safety. The rescue was very successful, the officials stated that it would be about four months until they would be able to save the courageous miners, however in 69 days and about 8 hours they were saved! The rescuers started to save them at about mid-night on Tuesday night. They started by lowering the pod ( which the miners would get into to be brought up in) about every 25 minuets. The pod had to be lowered in to the earth about 1/2 mile. Rescuers took many cautions while saving the miners. They had a video monitor in the pod to see if there were any signs of panic in the men. They also had the men wear sweaters, dark glasses, and oxygen masks, all to protect them.
The miners being trapped, has made history because never in written history has anyone survived that long trapped under ground. The rescuers stayed in great spirits and were thrilled to see their families when they emerged out of the mine, one of the rescues even stated "We had strength, we had spirit, we wanted to fight, we wanted to fight for our families, and that was the greatest thing.".
